The following step-by-step process meets FDA regulations. Purchasing hearing aids from HearSource is easy and convenient. 1. Have your hearing tested by a local hearing care provider.
About the hearing test requirement. Federal law requires that every person, prior to being fit with hearing aids, must have their hearing tested by a hearing professional. Please ask for a copy of your hearing test results (or audiogram) be provided to you. Be prepared for the local hearing professional to try to sell you their own hearing aids. Please decline their invitation. Federal regulations require that we obtain a hearing test that is less than 6 months old prior to dispensing any hearing aid. This policy ensures that the hearing aid we recommend is appropriate for your hearing loss and the prefit sound settings created by us for you are as accurate as possible.
Under federally mandated HIPAA regulations, health care providers must provide you with copies of certain documents upon your request, including Medical Exam / Clearance forms and hearing test results / audiograms.
1. Obtain "Medical Exam / Clearance" from your physician OR sign a "Medical Exam Waiver".

2. If you do not want a medical examination, Federal law allows for a
fully informed adult (18 years of age or older) to sign a "Medical Exam Waiver" declining the medical evaluation.

I have been advised by HearSource.com & any or all of their representatives, that the Food and Drug Administration has determined that my best health interest would be served if I had a medical evaluation by a licensed physician ( preferably a physician who specializes in diseases of the ear ) before purchasing a hearing aid.

We'll complete the paperwork and call you to complete the transaction. A HearSource professional will review your paperwork. We will then call you to discuss which hearing aid model is best suited to your individual hearing needs.
The financial transaction will be completed using either Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Check by Phone for payment.
We will Fax, Email or Mail back to you your purchase receipt.

We'll build & ship your hearing aids
We will then build and pre-program your new HearSource hearing aids to your specifications. This process usually takes 3 to 5 business days. Your new hearing aids and accessories will then arrive via FedEx mail at your home with easy to understand instructions.
